Carbon Fibre or Aluminium Models Available

The Ottobock Zenit is impressively lightweight without sacrificing stability and offers a variety of options for the user. All of this is combined in the Ottobock Zenit with a minimalist design and the available material mix of either Carbon Fibre or Aluminium wheelchair.

The classical sleek and lightweight look that carbon naturally has.

The aluminium frame

Gives the individual the opportunity to customise their wheelchair with a wide choice of colour options including anodised colours.

Easy-Go Folding Mechanism

The patented Easy-Go folding mechanism offers an alternative to the standard cross brace.  This innovative feature allows the chair to be folded and unfolded with very little effort.

With a tug on the cord, the mechanism is released so the wheelchair can be folded.  This should be carried out with the wheelchair to the side of the person and folding the chair in towards them.

This feature gives the added bonus when loading the wheelchair into a vehicle, as the person does not need to change their centre of gravity as they would normally.  The footplate automatically folds with the wheelchair, meaning the person does not need to worry about moving the footplate before folding the chair.

Seat Height and Centre of Gravity

The seat height and centre of gravity of the Zenit is adjustable and can be carried out via the rear wheel adapter.  This has been designed in such a way that the centre of gravity can be set to 1.2cm more actively or passively by turning the adapter.

This benefits all people whether experienced wheelchair drivers or people who are new to driving a wheelchair.  This adapter can be moved on the frame to suit all.

Folding Backrest

The Zenit’s back support is angle adjustable (-10, -5, 0, +5, +10°).

When the back support is folded completely down, the Zenit has an extremely small transportation size.

Easy  to Stow in a Vehicle

During transport, the back support remains locked for as long as desired.

With the rear wheels remove the frame of the Zenit is extremely light and easy to lift into the vehicle.

The weight ranges from 6.3kg – 4.9kg depending on the configuration of the chair.

Push Handles

Both folding and short push handles can be ordered.

The short push handles were optimised for a low weight during the development process and can be selected as options.

Upholstery

The ultra-light seat and back upholstery have been optimised for low weight and can be chosen as an option for an extremely light build of the Zenit wheelchair.

Storage Space

As additional storage space is sometimes required, the Zenit has been designed with an attractively designed back bag which is integrated into the back upholstery.

This is not only easily accessible but also easy to open and close with its magnetic fastenings.

Footrest

The innovative and patented design of the footrest for the Zenit gives the wheelchair full stability while also the added feature that the wheelchair will fold without the person worrying about moving the footrest out of the way before folding.
