Short, Small, light-easy to tilt. Unsurpassed manoeuvrability. Smooth and controlled rotation.

The Zippie Iris by Sunrise Medical uses patented rotation-in-space technology to rotate the seat frame around the user’s centre of gravity. This rotational system provides the shortest possible wheelbase without compromising stability. It also ensures a smooth and controlled rotation.

The Superior Standard for Wheelchair Tilt Technology

The best just got better. The IRIS‘s patented rotation-in-space technology allows for a small footprint on a lighter, technically improved, sleek design.

Shortest possible wheelbase without sacrificing stability

Lightweight

The new Quickie IRIS is one of the lightest positioning wheelchairs on the market. With more than 2.26kg of reduced weight, the IRIS is easier to transport and manoeuvre.

Streamlined design

The IRIS look and function have been enhanced with our new rocker design, black hardware and welded castors.

Growth Capabilities

One thing we’re certain of is that kids grow! When they do, the IRIS will be ready. With up to 4″ of depth adjustment, the IRIS by Sunrise Medical will grow with your child. Adjustable components maintain proper positioning during development, while width and additional depth growth may be achieved simply by replacing parts.

40° or 55° of Intelligent Rotation in Space Technology

The Zippie IRIS uses patented rotation-in-space technology for smooth and controlled tilting, the shortest possible wheelbase, and extremely low weight while providing superior positioning capabilities and caregiver options.

A new foot release tilt actuator

Eliminates cables. Also available, the existing hand triggers feature a special new Cable Management System that clips the cables to the frame to limit interference and opens space for options that mount on the backrest.

Low seat-to-floor height

With our new castor design, low castor fork and small castor wheel options, the Quickie® IRIS can achieve a seat-to-floor height as low as 32 cm. This provides easier access to tables, desks, counters, and enhanced floor access for foot propulsion.

Low Weight and Compact Short Wheelbase

Children often experience transitions in their care throughout the day. Each caregiver involved must be able to operate your child’s wheelchair with confidence. Engineers designed the IRIS to be the lightest paediatric rotation-in-space wheelchair. Its lightweight frame, combined with a shortened wheelbase, makes it easier for each caregiver to manoeuvre and transport.

Accessories for ADLs

The IRIS is available with various options to help you manage daily activities involving your child’s care. For tilting without exposed cables, choose the Foot Release Tilt Actuator. The push-button hub locks on the back canes are compact, easy to access, and easy to operate for any caregiver. Standard with the Height Adjustable backrest, the Angle Adjustable Stroller Handle has 260° of angle adjustability to fit varying caregiver heights and push from a tilted position.

Now with Hub Brakes

The stocked UK Specification now includes attendant Hub Brakes as standard, giving the operator more control and greater peace of mind when pushing.
